On 26th February 2018, Rev. Fr. Hans Zollner SJ, Vice-Rector of the Pontifical Gregorian University, Rome, addressed the St. Pius X Community on the issue of Protection of Minors. Fr. Zollner, a German Theologian, Psychologist, and Consultor of Congregation of the Clergy, is a member of the Pontifical Commission for the Protection of Minors (PCPM) since 2014. Fr. Zollner, who on the mission assigned to him by the Holy Father, Pope Francis, travels around the world discussing the issue of protection of minors. On 16th February, 2018, Fr. Anthony L. Fernandes, Professor of Moral Theology at St. Pius X College, successfully defended his doctoral thesis in the theological faculty at Dharmaram Vidya Kshetram, Bangalore on the topic 'Happiness Through Virtue In the Aristotelian, Thomistic and Hindu Traditions'. Through a Fruitful Lent to a Joyous Easter

The Lenten season in the Seminary has begun with a day of recollection, complete with the imposition of ashes, symbolising our resolve to immerse ourselves fully into the dynamic of this special liturgical season. In his message for Lent, the Holy Father lucidly draws our attention to the link between the season of Lent and that of Easter that follows. He opens his teaching by saying: “Once again, the Pasch of the Lord draws near! In our preparation for Easter, God in His providence offers us each year the season of Lent as a sacramental sign of our conversion. Lent summons us, and enables us, to come back to the Lord wholeheartedly and in every aspect of our life." And he closes his message

Fr. Jervis D'Souza: New Deputy Secretary General of CBCI

Fr. Jervis D'Souza of the Archdiocese of Bombay, former Judicial Vicar, currently the Director of Orientation Programme at St. Pius X College (Seminary) and Deputy Secretary, Western Region Bishop's Council, has been appointed Deputy Secretary General of Catholic Bishop's Conference of India (CBCI) with effect from 1st June, 2018. His appointment was ratified at the 33rd General Body Meeting of the Catholic Bishop's Conference of India. We congratulate Fr. Jervis and wish him the very best as he takes office. Fr.
