Piustronix 2025 — our much-awaited Newcomers’ Day — was a vibrant celebration of community, creativity, and fraternity. Held with great enthusiasm and energy, the event was masterfully hosted by our AI-themed comperes, Br. Keegan D’Mello and "Robro" Br. Kevin D’Souza, who led the evening with charm and humor.
As always, we began by putting God first — with a soulful hymn that set a reverent and joyful tone. What followed was a spectacular entry of the newcomers, dancing through the crowd to lively Hindi beats, greeted with cheers and gifts as a token of welcome.
The first activity was an icebreaker challenge where teams created quirky names and logos. Creativity shone through names like RedTube, Yellow Bites, Green Trojan, Blue Death, White Cyber Cops, and Incognito Mode.
Next came an energetic relay-style game: four participants from each team blew up balloons to move cups, solved a puzzle from an envelope, and untangled a wire to race to the stage. The excitement peaked as Yellow Bites and RedTube emerged victorious.
The first-year philosophy students took to the stage next, offering a melodic performance in multiple languages — a true testament to the universality of joy. Then came a fast-paced quiz that tested everyone’s knowledge of seminary life, drawing both laughter and competitive spirit.
Keeping up the momentum, the first-year theology brothers wowed the crowd with a dynamic dance mashup, followed by the Propaedeutic batch, who lit up the stage with a high-energy dance showcasing the journey through seminary life.
A fun-filled fancy dress competition added color and creativity to the evening, with plenty of cheers from the audience.
One of the most touching moments came when Fr. Gilbert D’Lima, the Rector of St. Pius X College, reflected on the iconic song "I Have a Dream" by ABBA, highlighting its deep relevance to the life and calling of a seminarian and future priest.
The night concluded prayerfully and joyfully — with a heartfelt prayer and a lively jam session where everyone joined in, ending the event with unity, music, and celebration.
Piustronix 2025 wasn’t just an event — it was a warm embrace into the seminary family, a space to shine, laugh, and grow together in the spirit of Christ.
