"SEEK TO SERVE, AND NOT TO BE SERVED."

The Ordination to the Diaconate, marked a significant milestone in the ministerial journey of 4 of our candidates who were ordained to the Order. The word Diakonia (in Greek) which means to Serve, reminds us of our selfless care and service to the faithful and the Church.

The Solemn Occasion was graced by Rt Rev Dominic Savio Fernandes, Auxiliary Bishop of Bombay who emphasized on the theme for the day "Called to Proclaim and serve" in his homily by making the gathering, aware of what service is all about i:e Not jus speaking but acting it out is more important.  there were many among the clergy, seminarians, family members, and members of the congregation, who were part of the celebration.

Among the 4, Three deacons were ordained for the Archdiocese of Bombay and 1 for the Diocese of Sindhudurg.

After the Celebration of the Eucharist there was a small fellowship gathering attended by the family members and rest of the house.

There was a great Joy seen in the eyes of Parents and the near and dear ones of our dear deacons.

The day ended with a small reflective message from the Rector to each seminarian about their calling, willingness and readiness to serve the people of God and the Church followed by a fellowship sumptuous meal.
