On 16th February, 2018, Fr. Anthony L. Fernandes, Professor of Moral Theology at St. Pius X College, successfully defended his doctoral thesis in the theological faculty at Dharmaram Vidya Kshetram, Bangalore on the topic 'Happiness Through Virtue In the Aristotelian, Thomistic and Hindu Traditions'.

He had Dr. Paulachan Kochappilly CMI as guide and three jury faculty to examine him. In short, he claimed that happiness that everyone wants, comes at a price, and the price is Virtue. A heavy price to pay indeed, which the contemporary world needs to be inspired to pay, despite all sorts of hedonistic temptations.
