The Feast of St. Francis Xavier - 4th December, 2023

Today, the community of St. Pius X College in Goregaon celebrated the solemnity of St. Francis Xavier. The day began with morning prayer at 6:25 a.m., followed by a solemn Eucharistic celebration at 7 a.m.The main celebrant for the Eucharistic celebration was Fr. Cedric Rosario, assistant parish priest of Our Lady of Lourdes, Orlem. The theme for the Eucharist was "Jivo Bhavarth Urben Porgottat" (Proclaiming the Living Faith with Fervour). Fr. Cedric, in his homily, spoke on the life of St. Francis Xavier as a missionary to India, reflecting on preaching the good news with fervour and passion. The Feast of St. Francis Xavier encourages brothers to incorporate the missionary zeal of this saint into their own lives. May St. Francis Xavier, patron of the Archdiocese, pray for us.
